Job Description:

be responsible for developing skills in all three of the Company’s
key competencies while supporting the account managers, primarily
on underwriting issues. Based on experience candidates will be
considered for Underwriter I or Underwriter II. - Providing
technical assistance to account managers in handling underwriting
details such as values analysis, linesetting, reinsurance needs and
placement. As well as, rating and pricing, analysis of coverage,
terms and conditions, and cross liability analysis. - Being a
resource to the Client Service department by gaining and
maintaining up-to-date knowledge of underwriting standards, policy
forms and loss prevention practices. - Aiding the Client Service
team in the development and implementation of the global insurance
programs that satisfy customer needs. This is while adhering to
company policies, procedures and guidelines. - Assisting account
managers in the preparation and delivery of internal and external
meetings, presentations, proposals and account servicing
activities. - Keeping up to date on market trends, coverage,
programs, reinsurance, and the new developments in the insurance
market. - Managing client and broker relationships. - The
expectation is that you will complete all necessary training in
underwriting and other areas to attain underwriting binding
authority and will develop the skills, experience, and knowledge
required to ultimately advance to account manager. - Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent qualification - Experience working in the
insurance industry with at least 2 years loss prevention
engineering experience preferred! - Flexibility in prioritizing and
handling diverse activities and workload. - Excellent communication
skills—written, presentational and verbal. Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills with considerable attention to detail. -
Excellent computer skills. The position is eligible to participate
