Consumer Insights Manager Product Ventures is a brand strategy and design consultancy specializing in product and packaging innovation for the world's best-known brands. As the Consumer Insights Division continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for a curious, diligent, and savvy research professional to apply their skills as a Manager on our Consumer Insights team.
The Consumer Insights Manager (based out of Fairfield, CT) will report directly to the VP Consumer Insights and will help lead the planning, coordination and execution of multiple research projects, managing the day-to-day research-related tasks from planning through report delivery. This role will collaborate with other market researchers (internally & externally), industrial & graphic designers, technology & commercialization teams and have direct contact with research clients throughout a given project. Responsibilities

  • Define appropriate research objectives that are consistent with client/project objectives
  • Plan, manage and facilitate qualitative and quantitative research using the appropriate tools with consideration to the project budget
  • Analyze & capture qualitative and quantitative research findings and provide consolidated executive summary of key learnings
  • Prepare and present quantitative and qualitative research findings to client team via thoughtful, clear and succinct research reports that provide actionable insights
  • Ensure design team is fully briefed on consumer learning to inform, focus and confirm design directions
  • Support VP Consumer Insights by ensuring high-quality and timeliness of work product deliverables, as well as collaborating on all research marketing materials Candidate Requirements
    • Naturally inquisitive, with a knack for "connecting the dots" and uncovering patterns and insights
    • 5-10 years of experience in the marketing research field, preferably with experience in CPG
    • Minimum Bachelor's degree (Social Science, Sociology, Psychology and/or Anthropology preferred, Marketing or Marketing Research; graduate degrees are a plus)
    • Experience in executing qualitative research; some experience in quantitative preferred
    • Experience in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data and translating data into compelling stories that inspire action
    • Demonstrated ability to be an effective contributor in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
    • Able to present work in an articulate, enthusiastic and professional manner
