Job Summary
Oversees the administrative, clinical, and operational activities
of services provided at Rushford. - Supervises the clinical
management teams of these services, with a focus on clinical
excellence, evidence-based practice, strategic growth, quality
analysis, program development, implementation, and stability.
Job Responsibilities
- Utilizes lean principles to analyze designated program needs
and develop recommended strategies for the department that align
with the organization's goals. - Establishes priorities, eliminates
impediments and resolves problems. - Monitors performance measures,
identifies, recommends and directs quality improvement initiatives
to meet program goals and objectives on a continual basis while
meeting external and internal compliance standards. Ensure that all
programmatic functions are operating efficiently and
effectively.
- Utilizing clinical and compliance knowledge to ensure that all
clinical work performed is within the ethical and professional
guidelines of Rushford, the Connecticut Certification Board,
American Psychological Association and other professional ethical
standards. Ensures that client documentation within all programs is
in compliance with auditing bodies by auditing documentation and
providing feedback on documentation entries.
- Teach, coach, and mentor clinical staff and interns, including,
as applicable, those in other departments across Rushford and the
Behavioral Health Network.
- Develop, implement and analyze operational budgets and
performance to ensure objectives are met.
- Drive promotional and marketing activities that support the
utilization of Rushford services. Collaborates with Marketing and
Communications team, perform speaking engagements for targeted
groups in the facility and community and represent Rushford on
committees.
- Participate in strategic planning services throughout Rushford.
Analyze monthly financial and programmatic goals and budgets to
ensure goals are met.
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned
including providing clinical coverage in the face of staffing
shortages.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Related Human Service Field
Three years' experience in a clinical management role
Active CT License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Counselor, or Marital & Family Therapy- Provides a collaborative style of leadership that encourages a
high degree of morale, teamwork, and shared governance among staff,
which in turn fosters commitment, communication and
decisiveness
- The ability to work with objectivity and empathy with the
individual needs of clinical and support staff and positive past
performance for conflict resolution and team building
- The ability to work collaboratively with clients, families,
staff, and other departments
- Must be computer literate and be able to work with most
Microsoft products and network components
- Must have fluid communication skills that foster teamwork and
high morale. - Further, must be able to promote services in the
media such as radio, television and print
- Must be able to set an example as a leader that direct reports
to them want to follow with enthusiasm
- Must possess a high degree of leadership skills both in theory
and practice, including the Hartford Healthcare Leadership

- Must possess a high degree of organizational skills and be able
to impart critical and sensitive information to his/her direct
reports
- Must be thoroughly familiar and be able to demonstrate
knowledge of the principals and programs of the various clinical
modalities
- Must possess the willingness and capacity for growth, both
personally and professionally
