Job Description:
A healthcare services organization in New York City is looking
to add a new Bilingual Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to their
growing OPD (Adult Specialties) Department in Brooklyn.About the
OpportunityStart Date: ASAPDepartment: OPD (Adult
Specialties)Schedule: Monday to FridayHours: 9:00am to 5:00pm (35
hours/week - 1 hour unpaid lunch)Responsibilities:The Licensed
Practical Nurse (LPN) will:Screen patients and make the appropriate
referral for services requiredPrepare charts for sessions as
assigned by Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse and assure that all
laboratory work and ancillary reports are enteredDocument all
clinical transactions with patient on patient's chartAssist the
Nurse Manager / Charge Nurse with case management activities and
document actions takenAssist the medical staff with treatment and
diagnostic procedures (e.g., urine catheterization, fixes slides
for pap smears, hand instruments to Physicians)Perform EKGs and
venipuncture on Adults and Pediatric patientsAdminister injections
(flu shots and immunizations)Monitor equipment and supplies for
clinic session, assuring adequate quantities are availableHandle
patient care follow ups; document action taken in patient's
chartPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:Graduate of an
accredited School of NursingNYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Solid
assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat
interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and
verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedBilingual
English/Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)Desired Skills:1+ year of
experience as an LPN in an Ambulatory Healthcare settingBachelor's
Degree in Nursingby Jobble
