Hospital Hartford Hospital is one of the largest and most respected

require, they turn to Hartford Hospital. Advanced Practitioner Role
Scope Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective care for women,
and participates in the medical management of patients, to achieve
or maintain optimal health status, manage disease and reduce risk
of illness. Engages in independent decision-making regarding the
health care of women across the lifespan and across the health care
continuum. Practices within a health care system that allows
medical consultation, collaborative management and referral health
care of women, i.e. well woman, gynecology, obstetrics (antepartum,
labor, delivery and postpartum), and family planning. Reports to
the Medical Director or Nurse Manager, or a matrix which may
include Nurse Manager, Nursing Director, Medical Director, or some
combination of those. Schedule: Full Time Advanced Practitioners

Qualifications Advanced Practitioner Qualifications · Graduate of
an accredited Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner,
Nurse-Midwifery Program Master’s program preferred · Licensed, or
eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant, Advanced
Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut ·
Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant
or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered
Nurse through AACN or ANCC, or Certification by the American
College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) · Labor and delivery experience
required · Specific experience in women’s health specialty strongly
