Job Description:
Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse II in our
Neurosciences and Epilepsy Monitoring unit. This position will
allow you to leverage your nursing skills in a state-of-the-art
facility dedicated to outstanding care and advanced medical
treatment. Albany Medical Center, an amalgam of a top-tier hospital

biomedical research. As part of our neurosciences team, you will
work closely with specialists dedicated to the study and treatment
of neurological disorders, providing essential care during
nocturnal hours. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to
patients in the neurology and epilepsy unit. Monitor patient
conditions continuously; record observations and document
treatments effectively. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Participate in the
development and assessment of patient care plans. Educate patients
and their families on management of illnesses and post-treatment
home care needs. Ensure the proper handling and operation of
medical equipment. Administer medications accurately and monitor
for reactions or side effects. Strong clinical skills with a focus
on neurology and patient monitoring. Ability to perform under
high-stress conditions especially during night shifts. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining
complex issues to patients and families. Proficient in the use of
medical software for patient care management. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Must have a
current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Certification in Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN) preferred but not
required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life
Support (ACLS) certifications required.
