Working here is an unbelievable privilege and it will be something I carry with me for the rest of my life!"- Sunrise Team MemberAt Sunrise, our Housekeeper is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions in order to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for residents, families and team members while meeting and exceeding Sunrise quality service standards.RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONSResponsibilities:

• Responsible for performing general maintenance and housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding Sunrises quality standards
• Partners with community team to ensure community is in compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations
• Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and Lockout Tagout procedures
• Team members may be exposed to blood and or body fluids with potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases
• Actively participates as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goals
• Responsible for completing all maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisorEssential Duties:
  • Performs general maintenance duties such as:
  • Fixing wall coverings
  • Fixing Floor coverings
  • Repairing furniture and fixtures
  • Performing basic plumbing work
  • Performing minor electrical repairs
  • Repairing appliances
  • Assists with painting and refurbishing projects
  • Performs minor building and equipment repairs
  • Conducts routine maintenance on all Sunrise vehicles as assigned
  • Maintains all tools and repair parts
  • Participates in all fire drills and in the community's disaster preparedness program
  • Assists with working on heating & air conditioning systems
  • Assists with work on domestic water systems and pumps
  • Assists with work on refrigeration systems, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance as directed by supervisor and according to safety regulations
  • Performs carpet and hard surface floor maintenance
  • Performs deep cleaning and resident suite 'make ready' rooms as assigned
  • Assists with housekeeping functions as neededQualifications:
    • One (1) year maintenance and/or housekeeping experience preferred
    • Technical school education preferred
    • Demonstrates a general understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance
    • Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations
    • Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities
    • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
    • Competent in organizational, time management skills
