Job Description:
Medscape, a division of WebMD, develops and hosts physician
portals and related mobile applications that make it easier for
physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical
reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information,
learn about new treatment options, earn continuing medical
education credits and communicate with peers. WebMD is an Equal
Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and does not discriminate
on the basis of race, ancestry, color, religion, sex, gender, age,
marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national
origin, medical condition, disability, veterans status, or any
other basis protected by law. About Us: Medscape.com is a leading
provider of comprehensive medical information, educational
resources, and professional engagement for healthcare
professionals. We serve a diverse audience of physicians,
healthcare professionals, and pharmaceutical clients globally. Our
mission is to empower medical professionals with the knowledge and
tools that they need to provide exceptional patient care and make
informed clinical decisions. Sr. Technical Product Manager,
Medscape We are looking for a Sr. Technical Product Manager to join
our Product team at Medscape as part of a unit focused on
commercial product innovation. Our Product Managers relentlessly
pursue increased adoption of our platforms by listening to users
and clients, ideating data-driven solutions, and continuously
refining products based on market feedback and usage signals. In
this role you will lead implementation and enhancement of platform
and commercial capabilities — emphasizing marketing orchestration,
integrations, platform tooling, and AI-enabled personalization. You
will assess product architecture and workflows, lead discovery, and
write PRDs for re-platforming and new feature delivery that
leverage automation and machine intelligence to improve efficiency
and outcomes. Join a tight knit team that brings energy and
camaraderie to serious work — help shape the next wave of health
marketing and platform capabilities. At Medscape, Product Managers
have five primary responsibilities: Innovate and ideate with a
constant focus on building data-driven products that deliver
competitive differentiation. Articulate a compelling vision and
business case for new capabilities. Translate business strategy
into a prioritized product roadmap and make trade-offs about what
to build and when. Collaborate across technical and business teams
to launch smoothly, collect feedback, and iterate. Partner with
Marketing and Sales to develop positioning, value propositions, and
go-to-market assets. An excellent Product Manager keeps the
long-term vision in mind while driving short- term results, has
customer intuition, and the integrity and influence to lead the
team — very much a “mini CEO” when it’s done right. What you’ll be
responsible for: Work with business stakeholders and clients to
uncover needs, define success criteria, and translate them into
product opportunities. Run POCs and pilots to validate technical
feasibility, product market fit, and AI/ML assumptions. Partner
with UX and Engineering to design and build scalable, reliable
product features, integrations, and AI-enabled workflows. Bridge
product and engineering by specifying technical requirements, APIs,
data contracts, model inputs/outputs, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with Data Science to define training data needs,
evaluation metrics, and deployment requirements for models that
power personalization and automation. Work with Product Marketing
and Sales to launch features and drive adoption with commercial
partners and clients. Note: this is an individual contributor role.
What you’ll accomplish (examples): Design and operationalize
journey based NBE/NBA systems (segmentation, triggers, APIs) that
power targeted activations across education, live events, and
medical affairs — reducing time to engage and improving conversion
for institutional and commercial partners. Manage rollout of CDP
and campaign activation features integrated with our platform,
including AI assisted segmentation and personalization tools. Lead
delivery of platform features that reduce partner integration time
and improve reliability, leveraging automation and model-driven
decisioning where appropriate. Contribute to R&D/innovation
projects exploring AI use cases (e.g., automated journey
recommendations, content personalization, anomaly detection, and
campaign optimization). How your success will be measured:
Delivering roadmap milestones on time while meeting defined
business outcomes. Measurable revenue or upsell growth attributable
to new offerings and functionality. Adoption, engagement, and
activation metrics for launched features —including lift from AI
driven personalization. Reduction in time to integrate and
operational friction for partners and internal teams. Efficiency
gains from automation and model-assisted workflows (e.g., reduced
manual segmentation effort, faster campaign setup). You will
collaborate closely with: Engineering and Architecture Product
Management and Platform Tools BI / Analytics and Data Science
Account Management / Sales Education/CME, Product Marketing, Legal,
and Editorial/Clinical teams What we’re looking for: Minimum 4–6
years of product management experience, ideally with martech,
adtech, or platform products. Proven experience with integrations
and programmatic systems (CRM, marketing automation, APIs, data
models). Analytical approach with the ability to write SQL or use
analytics tools to inform decisions. Strong technical aptitude and
the ability to communicate complex concepts to Non engineers.
Experience defining product requirements that include ML/AI
components (inputs, outputs, evaluation metrics, ops
considerations). Demonstrated ability to eliminate ambiguity and
produce clear, use case backed requirements. Excellent stakeholder
management and communication skills across distributed teams. Must
be based in the United States and able to travel domestically as
required. Preferred experience / knowledge: Experience with
DSP/DMP/SSP, ad servers, or other programmatic/adtech products.
Knowledge of data providers, identity solutions, and marketing
analytics platforms. Familiarity with enterprise pilots, LMS/API
integrations, or productization for institutional customers. Hands
on exposure to AI/ML in product settings (recommendation systems,
personalization, or optimization models). Experience working in
Agile environments and serving as a Product Owner. Why join us:
Opportunity to make a significant impact in healthcare and
marketing technology. Collaborative and innovative work environment
with seasoned cross functional teams. Competitive compensation and
benefits, and opportunities for professional growth. Salary range:
$130,000 - $140,000 Bonus Eligible: This position is also eligible
for a discretionary company bonus, based upon business results.
Benefits: Employees in this position are eligible to participate in
the company sponsored benefit programs, including the following
within the first 12 months of employment: Health Insurance
