Managing a team of skilled mechanics, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall efficiency of our diesel fleet. This position not only enhances our capability to serve over 300,000 foodservice operators but also ensures that our extensive range of over 350,000 products is delivered on time and in perfect condition. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of helping businesses succeed through efficient logistical support. Oversee and perform routine and emergency maintenance of all diesel vehicles Manage and mentor a team of diesel mechanics, scheduling work and overseeing quality control Create and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maintain cost-efficiency Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards Manage parts inventory and source from suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing Keep detailed records of maintenance work and operational costs Collaborate with logistics and distribution managers to align fleet operations with business needs Expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance Strong leadership and team management skills Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools used for truck repair Ability to manage inventory and logistics related to fleet maintenance Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification in Diesel Mechanics CDL License preferred
