Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution across the United States, is looking for an On-Road Driver Supervisor to oversee our transportation operations in the Oneonta/Binghamton area. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, timely, and safe delivery of over 150,000 food and related products to our diverse range of customers. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in logistics and fleet management, demonstrating a passion for leadership and excellence in the food and beverage industry. Manage daily operations of fleet vehicles and driver teams, ensuring punctual and safe deliveries. Develop and oversee schedules and routes to optimize delivery efficiency. Uphold strict safety and compliance standards according to state and federal regulations. Conduct regular training sessions for new and existing staff on best practices and operational protocols. Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance transportation efficiency. Maintain close communication with management and other departments on operational issues and resolutions. Handle driver recruitment, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed. Strong leadership and team management skills Expertise in route planning and fleet management software Deep knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance Effective communication and problem-solving abilities Medical Insurance 401k CDL license preferred DOT Certified Relevant certifications in logistics or fleet management are a plus
