Mail Courier / Driver Job Description: As a Mail Courier / Driver , you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of mail and packages to various locations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service that our customers expect. This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Experience in driving and handling mail is strongly desired. Compensation & Benefits for the Mail Courier / Driver: Pay rate: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour Medical, Dental, Vision & Pet Insurance Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off Participation in company 401k Hours & Logistics: Monday - Friday First Shift (6:30am-3:00pm) Location: Long Island City, NY Ideal Experience for the Mail Courier Position: Professional driving experience with companies such as FedEx, UPS, United States Postal Service (USPS) or similar organizations that handle mail/parcel deliveries Experience in handling and/or sorting mail and packages Corporate mail room experience Key Responsibilities: The Mail Courier / Driver will collect and deliver mail and packages to and from specified locations. Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient delivery. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery. Ensure the security and confidentiality of all mail and packages. Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks. Report any issues or delays encountered during delivery. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance. Use basic computer systems to log deliveries, track shipments, and maintain records. Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies. Requirements: Valid driver's license. Clean driving record. Proven experience as a driver; experience in mail delivery is a plus. Ability to lift and carry mail and packages up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 pounds]. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Basic computer skills (email, data entry, and simple tracking systems). Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and reliably. Familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods. High school diploma or equivalent.
