DescriptionThe primary responsibility of the Patient Care
Associate, Covid Testing Enterprise is to perform direct collection
of COVID-19 test specimens from clients or coach clients on
performing observed self collections. This clinical position will
operate at COVID Collection tents and mobile sites at YNHHS
hospital campuses and/or at off-site collection sites. The clinical
specialist will be charged with ensuring that COVID specimens are
collected according to current CDC recommendations and YNHHS
policies. The Clinical Collection Specialist will also ensure that
specimens are handled correctly including proper storage and chain
of custody until transmission to the appropriate laboratory for
analysis.Daily Responsibilities will include;
- Specimen collection of COVID-19 samples following proper CDC
- Set up and breakdown of collection site, including transport of
all needed supplies (PPE, collection kits, cleaning supplies).
- Cross trained to perform registration and greeting
- 0 years experience with Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist or
Patient Care Technician Diploma/Certification.
- No Diploma, but has 2 years experience in a medical
- Ability to multi-task and be proactive to finish jobs that need
to be done without always being asked or told.
- Good judgment skills.
- Confidence in clinical ability.
