Job Description:


The Specialist, Reporting and Analysis, is responsible for the review, reporting and analysis of fee for service agreements (contracts), country office reports and member billings. In addition, you will be responsible for process implementation, communication and continuing improvements. You will coordinate across divisions to ensure that general ledger is updated and reports or invoices are made in an accordance with donor expectations.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Fee for Service (FFS) and member billing: (50%)

* Responsible for the preparation, submission and reconciliation of the Save the Children US (SCUS) invoices to Save the Children International (SCI) and members on a monthly and yearly basis. * Responsible for the FFS implementation, monitoring and continuing improvements * Respond to queries on FFS from Country Office (CO) and other Save the Children members * Facilitate Business Teams and other Finance team requests in the assignment of new codes for agreements * Update the financial management system for new agreements and amendments

* Analyze FFS revenue vs expense on a monthly basis and yearly basis to estimate gains and losses on agreements * Provide relevant information to business teams regarding total revenue, expenses, and outstanding receivables * Update the general ledger for issued reports, invoices and any adjustments

* Review receivables and receipts and follow up with donors and other Save the Children Members * Support, review and process other member related cost payments or reimbursements

Review and support of Country office financial reports and requests (30%)

* Review monthly data feed from country offices implementing SCUS programs and upload into the GL. * Review funding requests from country offices * Prepare and send monthly reports to the country offices * Perform analysis and reconciliation of detailed transactions identifying any necessary adjustments * Monitor country office award portfolio for any overspend * Prepare closeout entries for any awards that have ended

Financial Analysis & Support (20%)

* Maintain and process reclass/adjustment submitted through helpdesk or from other avenue, ensuring Journal Vouchers are prepared and adjustments made in a timely manner * Ensure indirect costs charges to awards are reconciled on a monthly basis and adjusted in the ledger * Identify and process any necessary adjustments as result of award analysis * Reconcile payments received on an individual award/agreement basis * Provide financial support on grant closeout and support business teams in closeout adjustments for awards * Serve as back up for other donor billing and reporting functions on as needed * Assist with projects on as needed basis to ensure the integrity of Save the Children International financial data

Required Qualifications

* High School diploma or equivalent, plus at least three years of related experience * Proven experience with accounting systems * Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks and detailed analysis in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. * Professional proficiency in written and spoken English * Professional proficiency in MS Office suite * Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams at all levels * Proven attention to detail and successful organizational and problem solving skills * Demonstrated internal and external customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Background knowledge of grant/contract compliance and accounting
