The study of Health Science provides students with a broad base knowledge that prepares them for a career in the health industry or continued study in a health profession.Job Description: The College of Health Professions announces a part-time, 12-month , clinical faculty position in the new online MS in Human Clinical Nutrition program beginning in Summer, 2021 . In addition to faculty responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for the leadership and administration of this new online MS in Human Clinical Nutrition program. Reporting to the college dean, responsibilities include accreditation compliance; college and program assessment; curriculum content and pedagogies; program strategic planning and development; evaluation of technologies used in the curriculum; management of the program's operational budget and financial transactions; faculty and staff recruitment, supervision, development, and evaluation; working collaboratively with admissions and marketing on student recruitment efforts and enrollment; providing leadership to the program for fundraising and grant writing in conjunction with the Offices of Research and Development and represent the program at professional, public relations and fundraising events; and provide service to the College and University, as appointed by the Dean. Candidates are expected to have a defined area of scholarship that complements teaching expertise. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, advising, and service to the college and university.Requirements: Master's degree in a nutrition and/or doctoral degree in Nutrition sciences or closely related field. Degrees must be awarded by institutions accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the USDE. Preference will be given to applicants that hold a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) certification. At least five years or more years full-time practice and/or University teaching experience in the health sciences area required.Experience in key components of program director role; including but not limited to administrative experience in program planning and implementation, personnel management, supervision, and evaluation, budgeting, and outcomes assessment; is preferred. Experience in curriculum and course content development and student assessment; knowledge of standards and requirements of the ACPNE standards and their implementation; demonstrated scholarship and professional service. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and teaching courses online, excellent leadership, collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
