The Director, Fundraising Priorities is the primary point of contact to Resource Development fundraisers when it comes to Save the Children's Global Education program and policy work.

A trusted source for fundraisers working with corporations, foundations and major donors, you will be called upon to help guide the pitch and proposal stages to ensure opportunities remain aligned with Agency priorities, funding gaps and match requirements. You will establish strong, trusted relationships with technical advisors, country teams and regional offices, and work closely with fundraisers and our Impact Communications team, to effectively articulate our results and ambition, developing effective content to engage a broader donor base.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Fundraising Leadership for priority area (45%):

+ Lead on the development of thematic overviews, non-donor specific concept notes and proposals to support all of RD. Gather evidence selling points to support business case to funders. Working with Impact Communications team, contribute vision and guide content to ensure a successful product

+ Understand programmatic and policy priorities within the global education portfolio

+ Communicate with technical leads, country offices and regional offices to understand priorities and secure relevant content for new opportunities

+ Lead on fundraising knowledge management within assigned area, identifying, organizing and sharing most helpful content as it is developed, including public-private funding opportunities and match requirements that could benefit from private support

+ Coordinate and facilitate programmatic presentations to RD within assigned focus area

+ Coordinate and facilitate Business Team/RD quarterly meetings to review pipelines and surface needs, concerns and opportunities to improve new commitments and stewardship of awards

+ Review and maintain accuracy of relevant fundraising dashboards

+ Assess wins and losses to identify patterns

Facilitate donor-specific opportunities for assigned priority area (25%):

+ Liaise between technical business teams and Resource Development to identify best alignment on relevant funding opportunities across the Education portfolio

+ Guide go/ no-go process for opportunities within assigned focus area

+ Attend donor calls and in person visits to expertly present Save the Children's approach to Global Education

Visibility and Thought Leadership (20%):

+ Identify and manage a roster of spokespeople for donor calls, panels, and presentations

+ Identify conferences, panels, publications and social media channels we should engage in or amplify to elevate Save the Children's profile within assigned priority area

+ Help develop virtual visits, group calls and other experiences to bring global education programs to life for our donors

Alignment and Coordination (10%):

+ Regularly meet with the other Funding Priority leads and Awards Management Director to further develop BT/RD coordination best practices and support the roll-out and orientation of staff in ways of working.

+ Liaise with global Safe Back to School teams to accurately represent SC US contributions to the global strategy

+ Coordinate with other members developing global education proposals to ensure alignment and socialize fundraising opportunities

Required Qualifications

+ Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience, plus at least seven years of relevant experience

+ Demonstrated knowledge of issues affecting children and the latest thinking on proven and emerging interventions

+ Demonstrated experience with global education program design, result framework, and monitoring and evaluation

+ Demonstrated ability to communicate technical subject matter and make it accessible for varying audiences

+ Proven ability to successfully collaborate cross-functionally and cross-culturally

+ Demonstrated success leading proposals through every stage of the process

+ Professional proficiency in spoken and written English

+ Professional proficiency in MS Office suite

+ Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%
