Job Description:

A Sanitation Technician is primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing operational equipment in accordance with Company SOP's and USDA guidelines. Starting pay rate $14.50/hour; increases to $15.00/hour after 30 days of satisfactory employment. COVID-19: We are taking extra preventative measures to ensure our employee's safety, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by taking temperatures, requiring masks, extra sanitizing, use of ozone machines, wet fog sanitizing machines, Plexiglas separation, and more.Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Disassemble equipment to facilitate cleaning Remove all production debris (breading, batter, crumbs, trash, etc.) and clean equipment Hand scrub equipment as required Set-up equipment for production start-up Report equipment issues immediately as plant must be ready for production at end of shift Team required to stay until plant is released by USDA or supervisor May be required to clean additional equipment not normally assigned as needed All other relevant duties as required Job Requirements: Ability to read and comprehend documents Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral or diagram instructions Ability to stand in the same location for extended periods of time Physical/Environmental Factors: Cold, damp, humid environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees Stand/walk 100% of work day Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels Climb stairs, frequently stoop, bend, twist, push, pull and lift Exposure to strong odors, including ammonia Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and perceive attributes of objects and materials Benefits:Benefits available after probationary period of employment: Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Voluntary Life & Disability Insurance Paid Time Off after one year of employment Employee Purchase Program Other:This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by an employee occupying this position.
