Sodexo is seeking a General Manager/Chef
Manager to join one of our Corporate Services accounts,
Bigelow Tea which is located in Fairfield,
CT. This position will be 60% hands on cooking and 40%
financials. This manager will oversee roughly $300K in annual
managed volume and will manage a cafe and catering. This individual
will report directly into a General Manager and directly supervise
up to 1 Sodexo frontline (hourly) employee.
The General Manager/Chef Manager will be in charge of the operation
in addition to being the lead culinary person at the account. This
candidate must be able to manage food costs, labor costs, as well
as understand and be able to make business decisions that allow the
unit to meet goals. Other duties include menu planning, ordering,
inventory, and client and guest interaction.
is involved in daily production, staff supervision, hiring and
training as needed. Responsible for financial reporting for unit
and will manage the HAACP and unit safety program. Participation
will be needed with client catering events.
The General Manager/Chef Manager must have the ability to
forecast business and manage accordingly. Catering experience
