Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for overseeing daily
warehouse operations including inventory management, order
fulfillment, logistics, and team leadership. This role ensures
efficient, accurate, and safe distribution processes while aligning
with business goals and customer satisfaction. The position also
focuses on driving performance, developing team capabilities, and
implementing operational best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of distribution center operations,
including receiving, storage, order processing, and shipping.
Develop and execute operational strategies to meet customer demand
and improve warehouse efficiency.
Oversee inventory control processes including cycle counts,
replenishment, and stock accuracy.
Supervise and support warehouse staff including supervisors and
associates, promoting performance and professional development.
Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and
safety protocols.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, sales,
customer service) to ensure alignment with business needs.
Coordinate logistics with suppliers, carriers, and transportation
teams to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery.
Track and analyze KPIs and operational metrics; implement
improvements as needed.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company
policies.
Manage budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings and
resource optimization.
Support quality assurance processes and customer satisfaction
initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business,
or a related field (Master's preferred or equivalent
experience).
5+ years of experience in distribution/logistics operations, with
at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Experience with food safety certifications (e.g., Food Handler's
Card, HACCP, GMP, SQF) is a plus.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory
software, and Google Office Suite.
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and distribution best
practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Bilingual in English/Chinese or English/Spanish is a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
