We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time Molecular Technician / Microbiologist at our ADH Pathology Lab in West Long Branch, NJ.

About the Role:
The Molecular Technologist / Microbiologist plays a crucial role in the analysis and interpretation of biological samples to support diagnostic and research initiatives. This position involves utilizing advanced molecular techniques to identify pathogens and assess microbial activity, contributing to patient care and public health. The technologist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate results and timely reporting. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and adhering to safety protocols, ensuring a high standard of laboratory practice. Ultimately, the work performed in this role directly impacts the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.

Minimum Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
--- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting, particularly in molecular diagnostics.

Preferred Qualifications:
--- Master's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
--- Certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.
--- Experience with next-generation sequencing technologies.
--- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).

Responsibilities:
--- Conduct molecular and microbiological analyses on various biological samples.
--- Utilize advanced laboratory techniques such as PCR, sequencing, and culture methods.
--- Interpret and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
--- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
--- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient management.

Skills:
The required skills for this position include proficiency in molecular techniques, which are essential for conducting accurate analyses of biological samples. Attention to detail is critical, as the technologist must ensure that all procedures are followed meticulously to avoid errors in test results. Strong analytical skills are necessary for interpreting complex data and communicating findings effectively to the healthcare team. Preferred skills, such as experience with sequencing technologies, enhance the technologist's ability to contribute to advanced diagnostic capabilities.
