Market, underwrite and service independent agents, brokers, and contract accounts and provide surety bonds for construction firms, manufacturers and suppliers, and commercial enterprises for corporations and individuals. Develop growth and profitability plans, including cross-selling strategies for all surety lines. Conduct meetings with agents and contractors to develop and maintain close relationships. Travel to meet with agents, account executives, and bond principals in assigned territory. Appoint new agency relationships that have a core focus on surety development. Work with agencies to identify opportunities and write new accounts. Evaluate principals, operationally and financially, for surety credit. Approve bonds and programs within assigned authority. Evaluate and interpret bonds, contracts, credit reports, and loan agreements. Recommend underwriting decision on bonds or accounts exceeding authority. Perform analysis and recording activity in underwriting and administrative tools and systems.
